H'art Centre 20th Celebration

On Saturday April 21st 2018 I had the privilege of photographing Kingston's H'art Centre 20th anniversary celebration. Katherine Porter, Executive Director started H'art Centre 20 years ago "with the belief that people with developmental disabilities in our community had more to give and that the arts could be an incredible vehicle to help them do that”. Events included a group discussion with Senator Patricia Bovey and local arts leaders on the importance of championing the Arts for all, followed by the performance "A Gift from Martedella" a story about looking beyond appearances for the unique gifts of those who appear different, and ended with an evening gala.
